> FIRA sends 70TAC observers to the 118 designated fish-landing sites to inspect and record catches

   and biological data including body length of main species including TAC target species

   Species targeted for TAC(11 species): Chub mackerel, Jack mackerel, Common squid, Red snow crab,

   Snow crab, Blue crab, Sandfish, Pen shell, Purplish Washington clam, Skate ray, Jeju spiny top shell

Roles of fisheries observer

1. Inspecting TAC quota consumption

2. Measuring and recording biological data(weight, body length) of important species

3. Education fishers of related law and requlations(closed season, length, etc.)
