Greetings. Welcome to the offcial website of Korea Fisheries Resources Agency. I am Kim Jong-Deog, the president of Korea Fisheries Resources Agency. Korea Fisheries Resources Agency(FIRA) is the country's only specialized organization responsible for fisheries resources enhancement. Since its establishment in 2011, FIRA has been devoted to enhancing fisheries resources in the water aroung the country by carrying out projects for conserving and nourishing fisheries resources, managing fishing grounds, and advancing R&D research and technical dissemination. As a public organization striving to increase values of the sea and usher in the future of sustainable fisheries, all the executives and staff of FIRA will join the nation to realize the visions of decent income for fishermen, well-being of fishing villages, advancement of the fishery industry, and the better life for the people. To this end, we will continue our efforts to improve the marine environment through the marine forest formulation, achieve carbon neutrality, manage fisheries resources in a sustainable mannner, and advance the TAC system. FIRA promises to build a better tomorrow through our efforts for innovative performance to increase resource, environmental and economic benefits derived form fisheries resources, which will be shared by the people of Korea. FIRA will always listen to your valuable opinions and do its best to become a public organizition that grow with the people to realize the rich fishing grounds, hapy fishermen and a reliable public organizition.
